Implant Dentistry
Permanent tooth replacement by an experienced implant dentist. Natural-looking, built to last a lifetime.
When a tooth is lost, the best long-term investment is usually an implant. Here is how the three main options compare.
Most implant cases are completed in 3 to 8 months, with most of that time spent healing rather than in the chair.
Cone-beam CT scan evaluates bone density and volume. We plan exact implant position and identify any grafting needs before a single incision is made.
If the tooth is still present, it is removed gently. A socket preservation graft is often placed at the same appointment to protect bone volume for the implant.
A titanium post is placed into the jawbone under local anesthesia. PRF or CGF derived from your own blood may be used to accelerate healing and reduce discomfort.
Over 3 to 6 months, the implant fuses with the bone — a process called osseointegration. A temporary restoration keeps things comfortable and functional during this period.
Once integrated, a custom porcelain or zirconia crown is attached to the abutment. It is matched to your surrounding teeth in shape, shade, and bite. The result is indistinguishable from a natural tooth.
Dr. Kim completed his DDS at USC School of Dentistry and has pursued advanced implant training throughout his career — including complex bone grafting, membrane techniques, and growth factor therapies.

Serving Koreatown Los Angeles and Anaheim communities with implant surgery available at both offices.
Most adults with good general health can receive implants. For patients who need additional preparation, we offer those procedures in-house.
Exact pricing depends on your specific case — bone grafting needs, number of implants, and complexity. We provide a detailed cost breakdown at your consultation.
Cherry offers quick approvals with 0% interest options. Apply in minutes — no hard credit pull to check your options. Both office locations accept Cherry financing.
We also help you maximize any dental insurance benefits that may apply toward implant treatment.
With proper care, implants routinely last 20 or more years, and many patients keep them for life. The implant post itself is essentially permanent; the crown on top may need replacement after 15–20 years, similar to any dental crown.
The procedure itself is done under local anesthesia, so you should not feel pain during surgery. Most patients describe the post-operative soreness as milder than they expected — typically manageable with over-the-counter pain medication for the first two to three days.
Most cases take 3 to 8 months from implant placement to final crown. The majority of that time is the osseointegration healing period, not active treatment. Cases requiring bone grafting or a sinus lift add additional healing time before implant placement.
Coverage varies widely by plan. Some plans cover the crown portion, some cover a percentage of the implant post, and some exclude implants entirely. We verify your benefits before treatment and work to maximize whatever coverage you have. Cherry financing covers any remaining balance.
In select cases, immediate loading — placing a temporary crown on the implant the same day — is possible. This depends on bone density, implant stability at the time of placement, and which tooth is being replaced. Dr. Kim will assess whether you are a candidate at the consultation.
Yes. Implant surgery is available at both locations — Anaheim (Harbor Blvd) and Los Angeles Koreatown (Wilshire Blvd). Dr. Kim performs all implant procedures personally at both offices. Scheduling is set up so you can complete your entire treatment at the location most convenient for you.
"I was terrified of getting an implant after years of avoiding dentists. Dr. Kim walked me through every step beforehand and the surgery itself was almost nothing. I barely needed pain medication. The implant looks exactly like my other teeth."
"Had bone grafting and an implant done at the Koreatown location. Very detailed consultation — Dr. Kim showed me the CT scan and explained exactly what needed to be done and why. Recovery was smooth. Communication in Korean made everything much easier."
"I needed two implants and was quoted a much higher price elsewhere. Kairos was transparent about costs from the start, helped with Cherry financing, and the quality of work exceeded what I paid. Six months out and everything feels completely natural."
Call either office to schedule a consultation. We offer flexible scheduling, same-week appointments available.
